Paine misses Ash on ‘departure’ across cricket – Cricket Tasmania

Tim Paine will miss the Ashes series against England when there is “no” in all cricket, Cricket Tasmania said Friday, just one week after the wicketkeeper stepped down from the Australian captain for “sexting”.

Paine will not be in the “obvious future”, the state agency said in a statement.

“Cricket Tasmania will continue to support Tim and his family professionally and personally in the summer,” he said.

Nathan Lyon: I like to lead the team song rather than be the captain

Rumors about Paine’s place on the Australian test team have been growing since she resigned after it was revealed that she had been tracked down for sending sexually explicit messages to a former Cricket Tasmania employee four years ago.

Paine was criticized by the 2018 polls but said last Friday he did not want it to be a disruptive preparation for Australia on Ash.

Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting said this week Paine’s selection from the Ashes would still affect the team. Paine’s friends said they expect him to stay on the sidelines.

The first test against England kicks off in Brisbane on Dec. 8.
